Texas Notary Fees: The State of Texas Government Code Ann. § 406.024 sets out the maximum fees a Notary Public may charge for notary public services. $25.00 Administrative/Processing fee + the fee for each notarial act listed below. Acknowledgements or Proofs (first signature) – $10.00 *Each additional signature in same document – $1.00 An Acknowledgement or Proof of Acknowledgement is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary, was identified by the notary, and formally declared to the notary that the signer willingly signed the document for its intended purpose. The additional signatures would be each additional signature after the first one Administering an Oath or Affirmation – $10.00 Administers an oath or affirmation to a witness in a deposition. Certifying a Photocopy – $10.00 A certificate or endorsement that the document is a true copy of the primary document. All Other Notarial Acts – $10.00 Includes any other notarial acts of completing a certificate and seal not otherwise stated. Certified Copy of Notarial Record – $1.00 per page
Closing & Loan Services: These fees are not statutory fees and are listed separately from Texas Notary Fees. Each appointment varies based on the size of the document package and the location. Additional mileage will cost $1.00 per mile extra. Hospitals & Nursing Home Locations – $40.00 Includes 1 hour appointment slot. Second hour is additional $20.00. Jails & Detention Center Locations – $95.00 Includes 1 hour appointment time and all preparations must be ready upon arrival.
